Title: Height clearance
Post by: Dean Johnson on June 09, 2018, 09:39:11 pm
Hello All,
Newbies here. We are going to be owners of a new to us, 2014 Anthem DEQ. I have a steel pole shelter for my current coach, an '05 Beaver Monterey, that fits under my car port no problem. The clearance to the cross beam on the gable is 13' and from everything i can find, the Anthem is 12'11". That obviously leaves 1" to spare. My question is this, can the air bags be dumped and the coach backed in, and can the steering wheel be turned while the coach is lowered?

thanks for any feedback,

Dean Johnson

Dean. Once the air bags are dumped the front tires will contact the fenders if the wheels are turned more than just a little. Also I think as soon as you put it in gear after dumping the bags the bags begin to inflate automatically. I don't know if you can turn this off.  Best to call Entegra and possibly Spartin and ask about the air bags.
