We recently purchased an 2019 Odyssey 26D  and have logged a little over 1k miles so far.  The only issue we have experienced so far is with the Ford V10 engine.  A vent valve in the emission control system got stuck but was repaired under warranty.  The "check engine light" came on and wouldn't go off.  I've been told that as long as it is not blinking, you can drive the vehicle.  I did for about 200 miles and it seemed to run fine.  It was a quick fix at a local Ford dealership.  We like the floorplan and have enjoyed the coach.  Moved up from a MinnieWinnie 22R so it about doubled the interior floor space.  Happy wife, happy life.

We just placed a deposit on a new 2019 24B.  Planning on picking it up next week.  We love the floorplan.  I wish it had more outdoor storage however.  I thought it was interesting that the outside storage bins were constructed using steel unlike many of the coaches out there that use Rotocast, which I think is a fancy word for plastic.  Fingers crossed that we made the correct decision.

We Put a deposit on  a Odyssey 24B  as well, Should arrive  sometime second week of August I'm told , Wanted to down size from pulling a 35 ft fifth wheel around.  looking forward to going into most gas station on the road. On our long trips, had to stop at  truck stops for fuel because of the length with truck over 50 ft.  It's just the way it is with a long rig, you can not fit everywhere .
Not complaining ,We had a lot of fun and good times in the fifth wheel.  We went to a rv show and seen the 24B model , wife really liked the closet space  and outside TV and window over head ,Really lets the light in .We liked the 2 year warranty along with the fiber glass roof and length as well, plus not having to pull over to get something out of the fridge.  Over all, from what I seen look like Entegra builds a nice rv.  Please post so we can compare camping trips  , tips etc! , likes and dislikes if any.
Thanks

We've owned our Odyssey 31L for a year now, and the family loves it!  One minor bathroom leak (very small) and a problem with a tire valve stem, but that's all that had to be fixed to date.  I do have moisture in one well in a passenger bay, but will have that looked into in the future as its not hampering anything at this time.  Appreciate having a two year warranty, for after reading several forums the occasional issues do pop up.

Purchasing a 2020 24B.  The slide out topper came off when the salesman was setting up to show the rv. They are supposed to be fixing it before we pick it up.  Has anyone else had a problem with the slide toppers?

Have an Odyssey 31L. Have had a lot of other issues but not with slide toppers. I'm sure the toppers are similar throughout the entire Odyssey line. Check your water connections bathroom and water heater. Everything loose in mine and connections were leaking under the cabinets and behind a few panels I had to unscrew. Very poor quality control. Still love it but you need to be handy to own one of these things. Good luck with yours.

What are you using to check tire pressure on your Odyssey 24B? the back tires where the valve stem points inside hole of the wheel cover is hard to get to ,. I see for the inside tire there is a mounted valve which is easy to get to.
I would like to purchase a air fill gauge to fit the angle of the stem. thanks

Couldn"t find one to fit. Went to Autozone and bought one and bent it a little bit to get the angle right. I have
a question Does Anyone Know where the water filter is on the 24?  Thanks.

Water filter is behind the rear bedroom panel under the closet, You need to have the slide out open and lay on the floor , take off the panel and it will be on the slide out side of the coach inside wall. Just poke your head and look to the right of the panel opening.

Has anyone placed a spare tire on their 24B? If so How and where, Also What is the best roadside assistance?
I have read reviews on a few, Good Sams says it will pay for cost to replace tires up to $700. each occurrence , allowed two a year. Did see some bad reviews on youtube for them . Also coach net had some good reviews. What I have now is basic tire change coverage but I will have to pay for new tire if needed, Would be nice to have one available for roadside if needed. Also Tpms system , what to you have?

I purchased an Odyssey 24B in April 2019 (in Alabama - though I live in Washington state).  I drove it across the country home (about 2700 miles).  A few things fell off or apart but not much for such a long trip.  The only issue I have had is with the leveling jack system.  The hydraulic fluid hose was rubbing against something, made a hole and all the fluid leaked out.  Luckily was able to retract before it died all the way.  Getting fixed under warranty.

I LOVE this floorplan. No issues with the slide topper. A few problems with the awning but found I just need to pull out the arms to get it started right.  No engine issues so far. I feel like this is a fairly well made coach but time will tell.

Would be interested to know what solar system was used by the person who noted adding solar.

We are considering an Odyssey 24B. I see a lot of them with the optional Jacks. The Jayco 24B's we have seen for sale, none of them have jacks and they are basically the same unit.
Do we need Jacks on a 24B  ?????

We just brought our new 24B home, I had the dealer install the jacks.  I'm a bit on the large side, 6' 4" and 300 lbs. When I get in and move around the coach is rock solid. With out jacks every time I get in and out the whole coach would rock side to side. So for me the are a must have item.

Any 24B owners, or similar  models,  out there notice a discoloring in the floor. Looks like yellowish areas. Nothing seems to get it off.
I think it is something bleeding thru. So far I have seen two like this. Look closely. One dealer told me he would have to replace the floor.
Sent email to Entegra but no response.

I have the Odyssey 24b with leveling jacks.  This is not the only difference between the entegra and Jayco version.  Entegra has the panorama window in the bunk which I like for the amount of light it let's in.  Also the Jayco has a rubber roof vs a fiberglass roof on the entegra.  I like the leveling jacks as another person indicated so the coach isn't rocking all over.

This is the light grey vinyl floor.  Longer we own, the more spots and yellowish areas we see.

We have a 2020 24B on the Ford E450 with the V10 engine.  Love the coach. However the steering seems loose. Seems like I am constantly making corrections as we go down the road. And if either wheel hits any kind of bump in the road the coach pulls enough to be concerning.  Tire pressure is set perfectly.

Has anyone out there experienced this issue?  If so what was done to make a correction?

Thanks Ken

Hey All,

My wife and I are convinced the 24B is the floor plan/model we are purchasing.

We’ve decided to wait for the 2022 model year (May timeframe according to the factory rep I spoke to) and needless to say have a lot of time for research/discussion and hopefully find an awesome dealer to place an order through and hopefully get a competitive price.

Any recommendations with dealers you guys’ have had good luck with? I would fly anywhere in the US/Canada to purchase the unit to give us an excuse to mix in a trip to bring it home.

After much research I purchased a 2020 24b in May. Now, I can't tell you how disappointed I am with my purchase. I have had issues with the slide topper, the microwave has to be replaced, cabinet doors and drawers fly open when driving and now the slide itself doesn't work and the system needs to be pulled out and reinstalled.  It takes weeks to get an appointment with the dealer for any issue and even longer for them to get replacement parts.  If I could get a replacement or my money back I would do it today!!! Beware.

Bought a 2021 this year. Love the floor plan and everything else. One exception. The mounting of the back up camera. It is hard to see from the drivers seat. Anyone find a fix for this? Different system, mounting or no fix?

Just replaced the floor in my 2020 24B.  Was yellowing from the glue bleeding thru.
Took 77 days at the dealers.  They said they had 8 more different units  to do.

Bought ours in June of 2019. Love it. No problems driving, I find it very nice on the road. We had a hole in the Awning that was replaced , Truck A/C was bad that was fixed by Ford under warranty and the radio unit was replace three times trying to fix a problem with not picking up any stations. (I finally fixed it myself, it was a shorted out antenna cable)
We have used our unit quite a bit. For us it was a downsize from a 35'Fifth Wheel. we love the floorpan and the perfect size. I also found a 2007 Kia Rio with all the tow gear for sale in town and this unit tows it with no problems at all.
It is easy to work on, I have added an aftermarket TPWS as that was the only thing missing. I don't find it moves around too much when parked so the Jacks, although would be nice, are not necessary IMHO.

We purchased a 2021 24B this past July. Found the best price in the US at Total Value RV in Elkhart. I think they are now Lazy Days RV. Absolutely love the interior storage and layout. We down sized from a 34’ fifth wheel with a “ basement”. I thought the exterior storage was lacking when we were looking, but in use have found it to be good! Only issues have been one drawer that the bottom rubs when opening or closing and the pantry door with the three slide drawers inside will open while driving. The stabilizer jacks are GREAT, but if you want to save the cost put on the manual scissors jacks like ones on a travel trailer. We did late fall camping and got snow one day. The camper was warm, and did not use much propane to heat compared to my two prior travel trailers. I “complained” to the dealer about the lack of a spare and they put on a spare tire with a hitch mount at no extra cost. In reading reviews of older model C motor homes I expected to need to upgrade the anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer.  The new chassis and the Entegra “ride package” on this model does not need the upgrades. Love the new 7.3l V8, even driving in the hills in southern Ohio the the milage was never below 8.6 while towing a C-HR on a tow dolly. I removed the water filter and will use it outside on the hose, as I am paranoid about water leaks. This was right by the electronics for the slide out, the electrical panel, and the power relay.  With it behind the “wall” the way it was, you would not know of a leak until water was running out from under the wall, or the electrical system shorted. Can’t wait to go camping again this April, already have reservations at a mid-ohio state park!

In October of 2020 I was looking at, but waiting for the Odyssey's to come out with the new 7.3 motor, but then General RV in Ocala offered me a $35,000 trade-in for my 2011 F250 2wd Lariet, off the already sale price of $74,995 for a 2020 24B with the proven reliable 6.8 V10 motor.
The first thing I did was upgrade the Steering Stabilizer to a Roadmaster one with a heavy spring over it that pulls/pushes the stabilizer back to the center to help reduce wandering in your lane.
Had a Bigfoot hydraulic auto self-leveling jack system installed (pricey, but nice)
Added inner rear wheel valve line extension and 180-degree valve extension to the rear outer wheels, and a TST-507 tire pressure monitor.
I replace the bedroom wall analog temperature controller with a digital one.
Installed a 32 inch smart TV on the bedroom wall
Added a second house battery.
Downloaded an Upford Ultrapower tuner software to trucks ECM. It really woke up that V10, added about 50 more horsepower and about 50 more foot-pounds of torque.
It really helps with the transmission downshifting shifting on hills and with acceleration on the freeway on-ramps.

I am picking up my 24B in a few weeks - - your notes are super helpful - thanks! For adding the second house battery, I had read somewhere that a second one won't fit in the compartment with the first one. Did yours fit? (I am also considering switching to lithium batteries so that I can boondock for longer periods...) Thanks for any input you can give on that second house battery! (Was it easy to install yourself or did you have an electrical expert do it for you?)

My second battery is exactly the same size as the original, you'll just need two short cables to cable it up in parallel with the first battery.

Thank you for starting the link. My 24B was placed in service February 2021 and I bought it used July 2021. Thus far we have been very happy.  It drives and build quality is better than my previous Class C 2015 Freedom Elite 28 H.  My wife really like the Farmhouse white interior, increased storage and counter space.  If anyone has added a spare tire underneath or shower head that can change the erect angle, please let me know.  The showers hot/cold lines were reversed, so I corrected them. A lot of under slide screws were missing, so I replaced about 12. The water filter location under the wardrobe is terrible. We took off the exterior tv to hook in a HDMI cable permanently for watching videos, etc. Jayco technicians have a few schematics that they can email you also. Chippers Island Adventure has some great videos on YouTube.  Any other forums for 24B owners?  Ole

Sorry in advance, this is going to be a long rant to vent my frustrations.  The slide on our 2021 24B stopped working partially extended in the middle of nowhere Texas earlier this month (no bad intent meant about Texas it was beautiful).  The slide started slowing down a few days before and stalling when partially extended and would retract and then extend.  No noises, no codes, just sounded like it was working too hard.  It took two days for a tech to show up and help us retract the slide far enough to travel.  Now it will not extend or retract, but is mostly in.    Still no codes on the controller.  With the slide inoperative we can not use the main bed or access the rear closets and drawers.  Fortunately, we can still access the bathroom!

Also, have frameless window issues, coach door issues, hood vent issues, USB port issues, loud vibration when furnace runs, leaking, noisy and rich burning WH and two unfulfilled recall issues.  We have been trying since March to get the recall issues addressed, but no luck.  Called Jayco CS a couple of times seemed understanding, but would not take any action, called Lipert, who then took all of my information and then said call Jayco CS.  Contacted Jayco CS and they said there was not much they can due.  Remember this coach is new and less than one into a 2-year warranty.

Called selling dealer in March for recall and left message.  No response.  Called a couple of local Jayco dealers/service centers and would not work on a unit that was not bought at their facility.  Called a national RV chain based in California in March regarding recall for leveler bracket and they added me to their "list".  Called back several times over the course of a couple of months and confirmed that I was still on the "list", but could not tell me more.  Finally took it to a local RV Repair facility and they said I would get an appointment to have it looked at in late November, but no timeframe for the repairs.

Tried selling dealer who is based in upstate New York, again and they don't answer phones, no matter what department I choose.  Found on online contact form and was finally able to have someone email me back.  Gave me a case number and everything.  Waited a week for someone to call and nothing.  I sent in another message and someone called me, but I missed the call.  Called back, no answer, left another message, no response for a couple of days.  Sent another email asking for a specific day and time to call me.  A couple days later I received a call, asking what was wrong with our motothome.  I had included a details in my original contact, but they apparently lost it or did not pass it along.  Was able to make an appointment in early November for an evaluation.  Then I have to bring the MH back home and wait for Jayco to approve the work which may take 3-4 weeks.  Then if approved, order the parts which may take three months, then drive it back for the repairs which may take several months.  The dealership is 160 miles from our house and we have to drive it back and forth numerous times, as we are not allowed to leave it there.  Looks like we will not be doing any camping for the next six months or so.  I guess the bank won't mind is I stop making payments on something I can't use for six months?

I am still a little confused, is there an Entegra CS phone number or do all calls go to Jayco?  Is there anyone in particular in CS at Entegra/Jayco that someone has a good experience with that I could ask for?  We are not new to RV's this is our fourth Class C and second Jayco unit and we have had fifth wheels, TT's, truck campers and a popup over that last 50 years.  I had pervious Jayco warranty issues and all were quickly resolved and never had this much run-around.  I realize the times are different, but we have stopped by two national RV dealers over the last week and the places were crowded with customers and salesmen (but no repair technicians)?    Thanks to anyone who can make it to the end of this rant.

Thinking of a 24B with V8 engine.  Anyone have feedback on this along with MPG results?  Anything better or worse in '22 and '23?  And any cargo capacity info would be appreciated. Thanks,
