2018 Cornerstones recalled for potential fuel pump failure

Fuel Pump May Fail

An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Summary

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2018 Cornerstone motorhomes equipped with Cummins ISX 15L engines. These engines have a fuel pump whose drive gear could possibly slip on its drive shaft, causing a fuel pump function loss, resulting in an engine stall.

Remedy

Entegra has notified owners, and qualified Spartan Service Center/Cummins Distributors will replace the fuel pumps, free of charge. The recall began on July 21, 2017. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-855-589-9836 or Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137.

Normally chassis / Spartan recalls affect several brands, its interesting that this one only seems to be Entegra.  Either it was something they did / specified or they were just the lucky ones of that batch of chassis

Be a bummer to have one of those units for sure, not much you can do but get it fixed ASAP.

Looks like there are a total of 2807 Cummins X15 engines recalled for the fuel pump issue, with production dates from 9/21/2016 - 4/24/2017

We could see some other brands impacted as well, but Entegra is the first I've seen to announce it.

Thanks for following up on this ... so it was really a Cummins problem and after that a box of chocolates as to where Spartan used those engines and then who got those chassis. 

Anyway for those with 18's be sure to check if you are affected or not!
